Manchester United are preparing an ambitious move for Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez as the club continues its search for creative reinforcements ahead of the new season. The 22-year-old Spanish international has emerged as one of the Red Devils’ priority transfer targets.
Reports suggest United are willing to submit an offer worth around €70 million. Club officials believe Lopez has the technical ability, energy and attacking qualities needed to strengthen the midfield while developing into one of the team’s future leaders.
Barcelona, however, have no intention of allowing the midfielder to leave easily. The coaching staff views him as an important part of the club’s long-term project alongside several other young players developed through the famous La Masia academy.
The Catalan club’s financial position could still influence any future negotiations. Although Barcelona would prefer to keep the player, a significantly higher offer could force the board to carefully evaluate the situation.
At this stage no formal negotiations have been confirmed, but Manchester United’s interest remains strong and the midfielder is expected to remain one of the club’s key transfer targets during the summer window.
