Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are negotiating a possible transfer of Spanish international Ferran Torres during the summer transfer window. According to reports in European media, the 26-year-old forward has reached an agreement in principle on personal terms with PSG and has informed Barcelona of his willingness to move to Paris. This does not mean the transfer has been completed, however, as the two clubs still need to agree on the fee and structure of the deal. PSG’s interest in Torres has developed over recent weeks, with the French club viewing the Spanish forward as an option to strengthen its attacking line.

The financial terms remain the main issue in the negotiations. Recent reports indicate that Barcelona rejected an opening PSG offer worth around €40 million. Other reports refer to a package approaching €50 million, including bonuses, while Barcelona’s asking price has been reported at around €65 million. The different figures underline that there is currently no confirmed final transfer fee. Barcelona is reportedly seeking a higher guaranteed payment, while PSG is attempting to structure the deal with part of the total value linked to bonuses and additional conditions. The talks are continuing and the gap between the two clubs’ valuations remains one of the main obstacles to completing the transfer.

Torres joined Barcelona from Manchester City in December 2021 and signed a contract running until June 30, 2027. Since arriving in Catalonia, the Spanish international has been used in several attacking positions and has gradually established himself as an important member of the squad. With less than a year remaining on his current contract, Barcelona faces a decision over whether to negotiate an extension or consider a sale if an acceptable offer arrives. His contractual situation gives the current negotiations additional importance, as the club would risk seeing the player enter the final months of his deal if no agreement on his future is reached.

At this stage, Ferran Torres has not officially become a Paris Saint-Germain player. The available information indicates progress in the negotiations and an agreement in principle between the player and the French club, but the final outcome depends on PSG and Barcelona reaching an agreement over the transfer fee and payment structure. Reports suggesting figures between €40 million and €65 million should therefore be treated as information from ongoing negotiations rather than a confirmed final price. Until either club makes an official announcement, the proposed move remains an active transfer negotiation rather than a completed deal.
