Just one day after introducing its new Sky Nomad vehicle lineup, Xiaomi has revealed the first model – the N90, a full-size extended-range SUV designed with families and long-distance travel in mind.
The N90 measures more than 5.3 metres in length and is built on Xiaomi’s new Kunlun platform. Unlike the company’s previous fully electric models, the SUV uses an extended-range electric powertrain, combining electric motors with a small gasoline engine that serves only as a generator to recharge the battery. The system is expected to deliver 400–500 km of electric driving range and more than 1,500 km of total range.
Xiaomi says the interior has been designed as a flexible living space, with configurable seating layouts, rotating seats and a spacious cabin aimed at families, travel and outdoor activities. The company plans to offer both five-seat and seven-seat versions.
The N90 represents Xiaomi’s expansion beyond traditional electric cars into the growing extended-range SUV segment, where it will compete with models from Li Auto and Aito. The vehicle is expected to reach the Chinese market later this year.
