MG has unveiled the new MG 07 at the Chengdu Motor Show, targeting younger buyers with a combination of fastback styling, advanced technology and a choice of electric or plug-in hybrid powertrains. Seven versions are being offered in China, with the fully electric models using an 800-volt architecture and the longest-range version claiming up to 845 kilometres under the Chinese test cycle. Equipment includes 5C ultra-fast charging, frameless doors, an electrically adjustable rear spoiler and intelligent electromagnetic suspension.
Inside, the MG 07 features a large central display powered by a Snapdragon 8295P processor, heated, ventilated and massaging front seats, an adjustable panoramic glass roof and advanced driver-assistance technology using lidar. Pricing in China starts at just over 100,000 yuan, while MG has not yet confirmed whether or when the new model will go on sale in Europe.
