False information circulating on TikTok has been linked to an attack on an ambulance in the Romanian village of Recea-Cristur, Cluj County. The incident occurred on August 9, 2026, when a medical crew was dispatched in response to a genuine emergency call. When the ambulance arrived, a group of local residents attacked the vehicle with stones, clubs and axes. The windscreen was smashed and the driver suffered a serious eye injury from broken glass.
